My Galley Cafe - Newport Beach

This spot is decent for a quick coffee. The staff was friendly, though a bit slow. The place is quite small with limited seating. The coffee was good, but nothing particularly special. The smoothies, however, were overpriced for the portion sizes. Paying $8 or more for a 12 or 16 oz smoothie feels excessive. It would have been nice to see the ingredients being added, similar to what you experience at Jamba Juice or Tropical Smoothie Café.

The customer service here is consistently outstanding; they personally deliver your order, which adds a wonderful touch to this charming little shop. The breakfast burrito is my absolute favorite anywhere, and I always go for the chai latte! I highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Food: 5/5.

I’m honestly not sure how to express my thoughts on this place. The staff were incredibly friendly, the service was efficient, and the restaurant itself was clean and inviting—there's a lot of potential here. Unfortunately, the coffee we had was the worst we've ever experienced. Our americanos tasted like overly diluted, stale 7-11 drip coffee. We were in disbelief at how bad it was and suspected a machine issue. So, we decided to return the next morning and ordered an extra shot in a small size. To our dismay, it tasted exactly the same. We ended up dumping our $6 coffees down the sink; they were simply undrinkable. It’s unfortunate to give a negative review because the service was excellent and my breakfast sandwich was quite tasty. However, it seems there may be a problem with the way they’re operating the espresso machine.

This restaurant is amazing! The staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is incredibly fresh. I just enjoyed one of the best BLTs in town! Their smoothies are a must-try, and you can't go wrong with a bagel and cream cheese. Let's support small businesses like this one—thank you for all the delicious food!
