This is one of two of my favourite brunch places in Newport, and I always try to make it a point to go whenever I'm there. The breakfast menu is extensive and the coffee is AMAZING. I was so surprised to find a place that had killer biscuits and gravy (better than my southern grandmother makes ????)

A must try....and then back! I chose the hungry monkey based on the reviews here and I'm glad I did it! the place has a fun and invites in the atmosphere. I have the filled monkey-brot French toast and a side of the home. the French toast came out when 3 thick slices of French toast stacked with sweetened cream cheese and intercuted apples. it was perfect. the homefries were small in comparison, but it was still a good amount. both were very good and very full. on the chalkboard wall I believe they have listed their special areas. one of them was a reuben omelette and another was a buffalo chicken cheese grilled! the hungry monkey is just one of those places they need...read more
