フィードバックを提供するI was really excited to read the reviews for this place and eager to try it out. However, in my honest opinion, it did not live up to the hype. I would give it 3.5 stars if that were an option. First of all, the staff were very nice and friendly, which was a big plus. I ordered the spicy boar, which seemed to be the most popular choice, but it was just okay. There was too much sauce for my liking, so I had to scrape off a lot of it before eating. If I were to order it again, I would get the sauce on the side or not at all. The dish was okay, but not as spicy or flavorful as I had hoped. The grilled vegetables were a nice touch, although I found two huge pieces of almost raw cauliflower to be a bit distracting. The bark noodles were ordered as well, but I found a bone fragment in them, which was not a big deal. The taste was okay, but I felt like there could have been a few more toppings to make it more satisfying. Overall, it wasn't bad, but it just didn't meet my expectations. I would consider trying the japchae and bibimbap on my next visit.
I recently visited this restaurant with reservations, but I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. It was a lazy day and I didn't feel like cooking, so I decided to try out this place that caught my eye. Despite my initial impression of the exterior being old and rundown, the inside was clean and well-maintained. I wasn't sure what to order, so I asked for a recommendation and was told that their rice dishes were popular. I was a bit skeptical of their confidence, but I decided to give it a try. When I got home and tasted the food, I was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me of a home-cooked meal, and I was satisfied halfway through my meal. The portion size was generous, and the prices were affordable. Overall, it had a cozy mom and pop shop vibe that I appreciated and would definitely visit again. I would rate it 8/10 and recommend giving it a try.
This restaurant is without a doubt one of the best in Ontario, not just in Newmarket! It's no trouble for us to drive all the way from Scarborough just to eat here. The food is amazing, especially the rinderbulgogi and spicy pig which are our favorites. The meat is tender and flavorful, with a delicious grilled taste and crispy texture. The portions are very generous and the prices are reasonable. The service is always warm, welcoming, and attentive, never missing a single detail of our order. We always look forward to dining at this restaurant and highly recommend checking it out. The On the Rice team serves the freshest food and we truly appreciate them.
I wanted to try this place already one because based on the reviews, and now that I come back to any case! beautiful owners and delicious Korean cuisine. I have three lunch special items: bulgogi (real good,) spicy pork (even better) and the burning yam roll (also very good,) which in a round like a roasted salmon roll, but with yam subbed, so it is vegetarian, but tastes just as good! the garlic mayo on the meat dishes is such a nice note. almost reminds me of shawarma, but with Korean food! the best of both worlds.
Delicious food with reasonable price. And very friendly service. Would recommend it for on the rice or bento box
