Don Cuco Mexican Newhall

Was visiting family and came in for lunch. Great food! Loved their veggie burritos. Black beans are amazing, great fresh homemade tortillas and the service was excellent. Looking forward to going back when I'm in town again.

My family and I really enjoyed Don Cuco. We were visiting from Vegas and wanted that classic SoCal Mexican restaurant. Don Cuco was totally it! We loved the layout of the booths, the service was great, and everyone loved their food. We would gladly go back there next time we're in the area.

We were pleasantly surprised with this find. We're not from this area and were dropping off one of our girls at CalArts and looking for a place to eat. So glad we came here, service was great our waiter Josue was attentive and offered lots of great info and recommendations on the menu. I ordered the thin steak #28 carne asada) and it was perfect, loved the yellow corn tortillas which seem hand made yum! I also ordered the cadillac margarita which is why my review is not 5 stars. It was not the best. Rest of my party had the tilapia, which was a hit, carne asada burrito which was split with 2 teens and they were still full, kids had quesadillas with french fries which they could have shared. My teens loved the horchata and kept raving that it is the best ever.

Most delicious and friendly restaurant! We all enjoyed getting together for a family birthday here at Don Cuco restaurant. Love the way they set the sombrero on your head and sing happy birthday.

The veggie fajitas needed more flavor but the strawberry colada was delicious and service was great! I forgot my food and the waiter went to take it to me. Great service
