Dario's Mexican - NEWHALL

One of my go to Mexican restaurants when in SCV. Great drinks. The purple Cadillac is a great twist on the regular Cadillac with an inclusion of Chambord to give it that little extra raspberry flavor. Good fajitas a surprisingly large portion that arrives to the table still sizzling. The Carne Tampiqueña was a bit disappointing arrived w/ burned bacon and the steak was very overcooked. Service is very efficient here. Parking can be a nightmare when it's busy they have a very tiny, cramped paring lot, so it's normally street parking available. A good stop for Mexican food.

Saturday afternoon, we came here for the first time. This is hands down the best Mexican food I've tasted in a while. We sat in the bar area, and Omar was great. He was friendly and attentive. He made me a cadillac Margarita that was very tasty. I recommend coming here. I had tried there sizzling fajitas, and my bf has the burrito meal. Omg that asada burrito was the BOMB. The chef made my fajitas so good, too, very flavorful, the chips and salsa were even on point!I literally had no complaints. They provided us with amazing service from start!!

Came to eat at Darios after 33 years. We came down on vacation from Seattle. Wife has Gastric surgery and cannot eat alot of food and the server refused to let her order off the kids menu even though she has a medical card stating that she is allowed to do so. Very disappointed in the service and will most likely never return here for a meal. The server had a bad attitude towards my wife insisting she pay for a full meal she will never be able to eat. Then flipped the script saying she could order from happy hour.

I have been coming here for over 25 years, it was the only place in town that served Colombian food !! Take it From a Colombian!! The empanadas and Plato montañero where amazing!!, the last time I was here empty were no longer on the Menu!!! Sad News !!!!! But dinner was good . Today my Colombian Plato Montañero, was not Good My rice was Fishy with vegetables!!not white rice, Colombian we only eat white rice, The AREPA tasted like tamale filling not the unusual arepa The plátano frito and the chicharrón And fried egg Was the only authentic part, Either bring a chef that knows Colombian food or get it off The menu: The margaritas are awesome!! The service is great !! This Guys Have Been here since I 've been coming here! I will stick With Mexican food Next time Please don 't Degrade Colombian food like This!! '

We have been eating here for years, so I'm sure we get great service cause they already know how we order. The employees are always happy to oblige. The inside is a little dark but I like it. Most of the time we eat in the bar area with the TV on: Thank you Dario's for always taking care of us!
