However, to our surprise, when we arrived at 6:45 p.m., the restaurant was closed and dark. We then spotted Amaysia restaurant, where it appeared to be bustling with a diverse group of diners. Fortunately, we were able to get a table. We ordered a Sharing Platter and for our main courses, we chose Lemon Chicken and Chicken Breast Curry. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the prices were reasonable.
This spot is located in a beautiful area with a variety of restaurants to choose from. Although I didn't dine in any, I enjoyed walking around the area.
During our stay at a hotel across from Chinatown, we noticed a wide selection of restaurants to choose from that were very popular with locals. Although we did not dine at any of them, all of the restaurants appeared to be quite busy.
Plenty of choice with lots of Chinese and Japanese restaurants with take away facilities. Not too big and great to go and see.
Took a party of children on visit just prior to Chinese New Year celebrations. The experience for these young children was very good. They enjoyed seeing the many different restaurants, businesses and architecture Stowell Street had to offer. The owners of a supermarket let them have a look round at the variety of foods on offer and they saw all the decorations up for New Year learning why Red was such an important colour. They did their own Dragon dance in area behind Stowell street Blackfriars. The archway at the entrance to the street is very impressive. I have never yet had a poor meal in any of the restaurants and recommend a visit .
