Newcastle Publick House

I was fortunate to have been seated right in front of the huge windows with the sunshine pouring in and a view the beautiful Damariscotta River. I sampled two of the local Maine beers and had the haddock dinner. The portion of fish and fries was HUGE. The food and beer was fantastic! I'll be visiting again. UPDATE: January 31, 2025 I drove up just to get the same lunch as I did the first time. I was not disappointed! I think I'll make this a once a month visit.

Had 4:30 reservations of party of 8. We sat at 4:35 and server who was very busy did not take drink order till 5pm. Which wasn't a problem, the problem was the host came over at 5:30 to tell us she needed the table by 6:15. She came back at 6 to tell us to wrap it up. She came a 3rdWith. e at 6:10 to tell us we needed to go. We said we needed 5 minutes, she said you could have 2. I mean really? Wth. Food: 1
