Good food, the beef stew was excellent. However it is very loud indoors.
4/5: Good (but not out-of-this-world food, attentive service, and decent seating.Came here for lunch on a Sunday with a date. We came in as a walk-in and they gladly welcomed us. We chose to sit outside, but both the inside and outside looked quite pretty and I don't think you can go wrong with either. Do note that there is only 1 bathroom inside so you may have to wait to use it, unfortunately. For starters, we ordered the Escargots de Bourgogne. The escargot was quite good; the garlic and parsley butter it was soaked it added much-needed flavor, and we finished the dish wishing there were more than just 6 pieces. For the main, we ordered Truffle Mac N Cheese and Risotto aux Champignons. Both dishes were good, but not spectular. The Mac N Cheese had somewhat of a liquid-y consistency towards the bottom that made it almost soupy, which isn't normal for mac and cheese. This definitely weakened the dish. The Risotto was also good, but not great, as it had a similar liquidy, soupy consistency to it that made it strange in terms of texture. However, both dishes were still tasty; just nothing incredible. Portion-wise were quite alright as we both actually struggled to finish our dishes. This restaurant is labeled as a French restaurant, but it definitely steers away from that a bit, as some menu options (e.g., Mac and Cheese, Risotto, French Toast, Avocado Toast, etc. wouldn't be so commonplace in restaurants in France. This isn't a negative, but rather a good thing to keep in mind should you choose to eat here. The service here was excellent. Our waiter would come out as needed to check up on us and ask us how things were and how we liked our meals.Overall, a very solid option for French food in the village. I recommend coming here if you're looking for French fare in a small, quaint restaurant with indoor or outdoor seating.
Went here for brunch on the weekend and had a really nice omelette and scrambled eggs, coffee and orange juice were
Ordered the avocado toast with poached egg. came with one egg which is sort of cheap, but whatever. what i’m pissed about is that they did not poach the egg, it was more like a raw egg microwaved for 10 seconds. i swear, even the white part was totally liquid. i told the server i was worried about the fact the egg wasn’t cooked. she was sweet and politely brought it back to the kitchen. 15 min later they bring out a new plate, with new everything, except this time the raw, completely liquid egg is in a little side bowl. i have no idea why it took them more than 5 min to bring that out, especially when it only takes 4 to poach an egg (except like i said this egg wasn’t poached) so what were they even doing?! i gave up on getting an edible egg and just ate the ridiculously hard to bite smashed avo toast (one piece of toast) which was underwhelming and annoying cuz it was thrown together rather than all mixed into a mash.oh and the espresso was so bad it gave me depression.the atmosphere is blah so idk what the appeal is. if raw eggs are your thing, this is your place
