Seemed like a good spot. But very disappointed. Cocktails, food, portion, and service were disappointing. Barely average overall. I have seen Seamores around town and food seemed good with nice atmosphere when I walk by. Finally stopped in and gave it a try and was ultimately disappointed. Was here on Saturday evening, dinner for 2. Made reservations. Was seated pretty quickly. The restaurant was practically empty inside and out. Plenty of seats. Started with two mezcal bases cocktails with too much space on the rim. The cocktails was small and the flavor was okay. Not a great way to start a meal. We tried the fried calamari and it was below average. The texture was tough and dry. And the the flavor was just salty. Wasn 't plumb, wasn 't tender, and the portion was comical. Not enough to share for sure. More like small plates for the small cocktails. Meh. Tried to order some entrees but unfortunately all the waiters were having too much of a good time by themselves. Nothing wrong with having a chat with coworkers but at least pay attention to the few tables and the few customers around. Taking shots and making jokes amongst each other during work may not be the best? The restaurant was practically empty, inside and outside. After a minutes we were able to get a hold of the maitre d as she walking back out to the podium. We had the squid ink pasta. Small portion. Mediocre seafood. Ok pasta. Not much flavor overall. Didn 't really taste the seafood, perhaps thawed frozen seafood. In fact I make better squid ink pasta at home. We ordered the reel deal . This was the most disappointing dish of all. I think this is suppose to be their flagship dish? I 'm not really sure. But for $30, this was a very expense salad! It 's basically a mix of cooked vegetables with a small FILET OF FISH on top. NOT WHOLE FISH. This is by no mean a fish entree. This is mixed salad with a tiny piece of fish on top. For a seafood themed restaurant this was a joke. The cauliflower rice was tasteless. A few leaves of spinach. And some bulky carrots. And don 't forget the tiny piece of fish. You can expect a McDonald 's fish filet on your plate. This was laughable. For $30, you can expect a whole fish in almost every restaurant. Certainly NOT the real deal . Overall very disappointed. Which explains the empty restaurant. Go to Gelso and Grand down the block for a much better time and much better food (though it looked packed on a Saturday evening).
Cute little fish spot. The ice cream churro dessert was a phenomenal way to end a delicious meal.
I had an hour to kill before a hair appointment nearby so I bumped into the famous love door which is just a bunch of colorful hearts spray-painted. However, I had to take a picture as a tourist would. I did not have reservations, but was seated quickly. I asked the waitress the sweetest alcohol beverage they had and then placed my drink order. The drinks came, however it was not sweet to me. She gladly understood and took them away. I decided to have a mimosa instead. For appetizers we ordered the guacamole and chips which came first, it was really appetizing. Then we got Mac and cheese, which came second. I was so excited for this. It was very delicious. When we were deciding on our food we realized a lot of options we wanted were no longer on the menu. I guess the menu goes by season and frequently changes because the food on yelp or social media they no longer had. So we settled for fish, beans, broccoli and avocado toast with fries. The avocado and toast was delicious however the fish plate was not very special. Besides the food and drink, I forgot to mention the ambiance was really good. It 's a nice pit stop.
Dined at this place a couple times. All of which was for lunch. The place is fairly big so it can seat a lot of people, but it still gets crowed on the weekends. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was amazing. You can't go wrong with anything on their brunch menu, but should def try the crab cake.
