It's a Wednesday night and not crowded. He smoked disrespectfully and said he didn't take care of the delay. The Hookah is not connected to the restaurant, but they offer Hookah for the restaurant. Very disappointed by the Hookah.
Unique and flavorful sushi! If you're in search of sushi with a twist, this is the place to go. The restaurant was empty during our visit, and we were the only ones dining inside, yet the service didn't quite meet expectations.
The food here is amazing and so delicious I love the fusion of Dominican and Japanese food, I gave only 4 stars cause of the service it is so slow and they put an 18 percent tip
MamaSushi has a wonderful atmosphere, featuring Chinese-themed decor and some impressive artwork. Both the food and my mojito were absolutely delightful! We tried the Dyckman Roll, which was incredibly good, along with salmon and vegetables, and a side of potatoes. The salmon was beautifully presented. The passion fruit mojito, with a unique MamaSushi twist of fresh raspberries, was simply amazing. I would definitely return to this place since I'm in the Bronx. Our waitress was attentive, helpful in recommending drinks, and very pleasant. The neighborhood is also nice, with outdoor seating available, making it a great spot to chat after dinner, thanks to New York City. Treat yourself and pay a visit!
On the downside, we were informed that our table would be ready in 20 minutes, but we had to wait over 30. The prices for food and drinks are on the higher side. While sushi tends to be expensive due to the seafood, I found it odd that the signature house rolls don't contain fish but still cost $14-$18 each. Additionally, drinks priced at $15 or $16 could be a bit stronger. Lastly, parking was extremely difficult to find, so if you're driving, be prepared to search for street parking. I’m glad we tried this restaurant, but I don’t think I’ll be returning.
