Hill And Bay Coffee Window - New York

Great local spot! Service is always fast and super friendly, and the food is delicious and always fresh. We love to come here before/after a movie at AMC Kips Bay since it's right across the street! We'll sometimes pull a double header and go to the movies in the AM, hit Hill and Bay for lunch, and go back to AMC for a late afternoon movie. The buffalo chicken salad is incredible and so are the tacos!

I went to the Hill and Bay take out window yesterday and was absolutely thrilled to have wonderful customer service. I ordered multiple coffees and asked for a bag to make it easier to carry. The wonderful employees went above and beyond wrapping up each coffee in plastic wrap even under the lid to avoid spillage! Such a pleasant surprise and seriously the only exceptional service in all of NYC

If I could give this place ZERO stars, I would. They are undeserving of the one I 'm forced to give. I have nothing positive to say, the only thing I can review is the lukewarm tap water that they served my coworker and I lacking ice and with fingerprints on the mason jar glass. We ordered quickly on our lunch break and 40 minutes went by when I tried to flag down the server who saw me and made eye contact, yet I was blatantly ignored. When he finally came by, I mentioned that we would need to take our food to go because we need to get back to work, he told us 5 more minutes ... Boy, was that a lie, we waited 10 minutes, and then got up to ask again while walking towards the door if our food was packed up ... What we did receive was ... NO APOLOGY, and told then leave! it 's in the process (insert sarcastic laugh here) I didn 't know it took an hour to get a burger and fries (which anyone inquiring about their lunch special ... the special is you get the side of fries for free) (Stop it already ... too funny) They could have offered us a piece of lettuce to hold us down at this point, but I had to return from my lunch break with an empty stomach and full of frustration. Save yourself the time and energy and skip this place. I don 't know if after we ordered whether they went to go kill the cow, or import potatoes from Ireland ... I wasted my time sitting in a basic looking place with no music and to top it off ... terrible service! We were made to feel like WE inconvenienced the establishment. I 'm appalled and will NEVER step foot in this place again, I even have a background of working in the service industry for 18 years and have never experienced anything like this and can overlook sub-par service, BUT this place takes the cake! If they can 't handle the amount of business entering they should communicate that to patrons before they sit down, so they don 't waste anyone 's time. You can guarantee I won 't be back and will tell all my coworkers to avoid this place like the plague!Go to The Gem Saloon instead!!! :D They will take care of you and treat you with respect and the food will be out in a reasonable amount of time.
