My friend had the cob salad and couldn't stop talking about how he loved it. Still talked about it 2 days later. He said the dressing was amazing. Nothing extraordinary about my meal except it was huge. The restaurant had an old diner feel and look. Very american and reminiscent of old times.
The burgers were thick and juicy, but not particularly flavorful. The chili burger was bland and dry. Hard to be happy spending $90 for 5 burgers and water.
The burger I had was merely mediocre at best. While the service was quick and friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant, the overall experience didn't justify the high price. Everything felt overpriced for what you received. They even charge extra for basic toppings and fries, which are usually included at other places. I understand that it's midtown, but you can find much better quality and presentation for the same price elsewhere in the city. The dish simply didn't match the price tag. I likely won’t return for these reasons.
The only redeeming feature of this place is the opportunity for people-watching on Lexington Ave or at an outdoor table on 62nd St. Like many diners in the area, the prices here are outrageous considering the food quality. A mediocre burger will set you back over $20—you're better off heading to a nearby steakhouse or bistro for a fantastic burger at a similar price. Breakfast is no different: a typical combo of eggs, bacon, toast, and coffee costs $25! The service isn't great either; the staff can be gruff at best and downright unfriendly at worst.
This restaurant has a classic American vibe. The Heaven Burger is tasty—while it may not be the best in the city, it's definitely enjoyable. The staff are really friendly, too.
