City Cafe - New Waverly

Great food. Nice little out of the way. If your hunger and just want a good meal of friendly people, this is the place to stop.

This has got to be the worst place I've ever been to we got there at 11:54 finally got served our hamburger and fries at 12:45 a very very long the to go orders kept calling in they would cook the to-go orders and leave us sitting there waiting for our food to be served to the table they do not know how to run a restaurant and then the burger had coleslaw purple cabbage and carrots along with the onion pickles lettuce and a little bitty tomato the hamburger meat was not cooked all the way through it was raw the center the Patty wasn't even the size of the Bun the bottom of my burger bun was almost tore in half instead of fixing a new one and putting on the bottom of my burger they serve me the one that was torn in half so that was difficult to eat .the potatoes were all right not my favorite cook too hard very crunchy no soft Center as far as my husband's hamburger he got a bun with Mayo mustard a piece of hamburger meat one small pickle and almost a tomato it was about as big as a $0.25 piece that's all that was on his Burger this Cafe needs help really bad they may not make it and have to close down if they serve too many bad meals we wanted to try there all you can eat catfish but we won't cause it'll probably take 45 minutes to get three pieces of fish on your second order too many other places to go like fish pond they have good catfish just thought we would try our City Cafe in our hometown of New Waverly sorry will not go there again

I ordered the chicken sandwich, and the bread was incredibly soggy. I also had to wait for more than 20 minutes. The fries were cold and soggy as well. I definitely won't be returning and I wouldn't recommend this place. There are much better options available just down the street in Willis or Huntsville. Save your money!

This is a charming little diner with a welcoming atmosphere and outstanding customer service. They offer generous portions at very reasonable prices. I absolutely love it!

My first experience here was great. Although it was a quiet late afternoon, the young lady who took our order and prepared our food was very friendly and attentive. Plus, the burgers were fantastic!
