Brandon House Solas Croi - New ross

I went with friends after a comedy gig. Being a fan of craft beers there was a lot to choose from. It was also the first bar I've ever been to where the bartender made recommendations baled on what we were drinking. Very impressed. Would go again.

I go to Solas quite a bit as I love the atmosphere there with great music and amazing cocktails. The staff are very friendly. My favorite cocktail ? Espresso Martini ! Ohhh Yeah !! Garrett

My friend booked the upstairs room at Solas Bar for her birthday last night. The evening started off well but was completely ruined by a very rude bartender who lacked any level of civility when speaking to customers. I ordered a vodka and tonic and brought them to my table, but when the birthday cake was brought out and everyone stood up to take photos and sing Happy Birthday, I realized that the bar lady had cleared the empty glasses and taken my vodka with it. I went up to the bar to inform the bartender, who immediately became aggressive and stated that I should have watched my drink. I explained that a member of the staff had taken it, but he rudely dismissed my concern. My boyfriend later tried to purchase me another drink, suggesting that the bartender should be more polite when a staff member takes a paid drink away, but he was met with the same rudeness. I was deeply upset by the bartender's behavior and will not be recommending this venue in the future. It seems that other reviews also highlight the rudeness of some staff members, which is completely justified.

I frequent this bar, its very cosy, nice music and their white russian never disappoints. I have had food too- not the best but OK for the price. The staff are really friendly except one very grumpy waitress.

Went here on Saturday they had ran out of prosecco they were very rude about it (we were a group of 14) but the bar itself seems nice, good layout etc
