The Smithy Cafe At 9 Main - New Preston

Recommended by a friend. Ordered soups, Broccoli cheese, friend said tasted like tap water. I had the butternut apple soup, I should have known upon first glance, dark brown, not the usual golden color, again watery tasteless .My meatball Parmesan sandwich was two small whole meatballs on a hoagie roll. Uneatable.

Loved Smithy Café! Classic and quintessential New England charm, the place is just adorable with gorgeous windows, views, and seating areas. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing- very hearty, two eggs, plenty of bacon or sausage, and well seasoned. You could see the cracked black pepper. So delicious. I loved my peppermint mocha latte as well. Service was great- very friendly, food was made to order and came out in a very timely manner. It was brought to our table. Cannot wait to come back to try other breakfast item, maybe some bakery treats, and definitely lunch! 10/10 :

Great place for breakfast / lunch in Connecticut. The sandwiches were very good, I would definitely visit this café again. We had the bacon egg and cheese on sourdough and steak and cheese sandwich. Food: 5/5

Ordering was easy. Everyone is polite and nice. Food was made and arrived fast. Everything tasted amazing and flavorful. Happy out of state customer (FL).
