The Grill Room At The Windsor Court

The surroundings were beautiful. The pianist was a very pleasant part of the visit. Our server was very attentive and sweet. The food was mediocre. The tea sandwiches were fair. The Scones were very dense and did not taste fresh. The desserts were not good. Very disappointed.

We’ve had tea many times at Le Salon, but this was our first Mardi Gras Tea. What a great time we had! As usual the beautiful rose display was present, they were purple which fit the theme. There was a book signing for The Big Book of King Cake, which I loved! Matt Haines was awesome and so pleasant. The food and service was great as always! Having the Mardi Gras Indians make a surprise appearance was so amazing!

Everything was delicious and the service was fantastic. We will definitely be back.

The automatic addition of almost 30% in gratuities was outrageous! This was NOT CLEAR and I do not believe it was even included anywhere on the booking site. While I was extremely pleased with the food, ambiance and overall service (once our server got over an attitude problem when we were 1st seated, she was excellent after that) the surprise of the gratuity at the end left a very bad feeling of the overall experience. My normal tip is 25% so it is not the amount, but the surprise and the principle of the matter that was unacceptable
