The staff were incredibly friendly and professional. I will definitely return. By the way, the rooms were very quiet; we couldn't hear anything from ours, even with many people outside.
It's funny how I accidentally booked this hotel through an app I was using, but it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened! This place is amazing! It has the best location, fantastic rooms, and excellent service. My boyfriend and I visited for his birthday, and when we arrived, I was concerned about noise from the bar downstairs. However, it was incredibly quiet, and all the rooms have unique themes that give them a cozy, home-like feel. We ended up staying for three nights, hoping to experience different rooms. We stayed in the Mississippi and LA Sarina, and I absolutely loved the Mississippi! I will definitely be returning!
We discovered this hotel through the Hotel Tonight app, and it turned out to be a great find. It has only five themed rooms, and we stayed in the Mississippi room. The room was stunning and impeccably clean. The staff was incredibly friendly and ready to assist with anything we needed. I had some of the best sleep I've ever experienced on the incredibly comfortable bed with soft sheets and fluffy pillows. The coffee was fantastic, and the room temperature was perfect. Although we could hear a bit of bass from the bar below, it was soothing and actually helped us fall asleep. The location felt safe and was close to lively areas for drinks and dining. I will definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit!
Love this place!! I go for the Basil Lemonade Tom Collins. Believe me it is delicious. Light and refreshing. Sorry I can?t post the pic.
No sign of Duane Pride wasn 't in the house, nor any NOLA NCIS agents. What would be called the Tru Tone bar on TV is a much different picture in real life. This primarily local 's hangout is still quite an impressive view from the street, the wrap around balcony really brings the facade to life here. Being situated in a residential area I would have expected to at least find an open table for a couple drinks, I can clearly understand why they call themselves a communitycenter. Bring your quarters for the jukebox, you won 't find any live music at the R Bar, but on Monday evenings you can get a haircut and a shot, just make sure it 's not the barber joining you for a shot. Unlike Dr. Who 's tardis, this baris definitely bigger on the outside, maybe it was the impression I got from TV, I was not expecting it to be that small which is why I waited for seating to open up outside. This place is also home to the Royal Street Inn on the secondfloor, and although I had not seen it in person, the photos online make the suites look very impressive. I am a fan of the local hangouts when I travel, this is one of them I would stop back into when I am in NOLA next. Cheers!
