Mikimoto - New Orleans

The sushi at this restaurant is exceptional. I enjoyed everything I tried. The staff were also very friendly. I would suggest calling ahead to check if it's busy. It may be necessary to wait inside for a table as the restaurant only has around 10-11 tables with varying numbers of seats. As for kid-friendliness, they have kid's chairs available. In terms of parking, I dined in three times and only had trouble finding parking once when the restaurant was extremely busy.

The sushi had a strange chemical taste. I ordered takeout during work and had a coworker try it, but he ended up spitting it out. I don't know what that taste was, but I would recommend avoiding this place. Hopefully, I won't get sick.

We are staying at a hotel and all of the hotel's restaurants were closed, so we decided to order from this restaurant and we were blown away by how fantastic the food was! This place might just become a must-visit every time I come to New Orleans. The food arrived hot, tasted delicious, and was exactly what we had ordered. Overall, we give it a 5/5 rating for the food.

The vegan offerings are adequate but not terribly imaginative. The service is great. They have a drive-thru, which is novel for a sushi restaurant.Food: 3/5
