Maison Mathis - New Haven

If you wanna go to the worst coffee place, at the same time the most expensive one, and also the most disrespectful staff, you should go to Maison Mathis. No Idea why they put Yale next to their name, as there is no association between them. I get his coffee as a large latte, without even a label for their cups, for 6$ as it is small compared to all other coffee places in new haven. It took 15 minutes for them to prepare with a very disrespectful look at the consumer. It's my only negative review at new haven.

The waffle was so dry it crumbled under my fork. Southern belle Chicken was extremely flat. I was expecting more of a chick FIL a sized piece. Maple syrup was the fake corn syrup kind. They were very busy but not enough working there to cover mass influx of Yale students or alumni.Food: 1/5

Very expensive, very low quality, and disrespectful staff. I am really surprised why the name of Yale is next to them.

Avocado Crispy Roll 6.5/10 extremely average sandwich. Impossible to eat without making a mess. Maybe I should of gotten the waffle? The place was really cute but I would definitely eat somewhere else before trying here again. ALSO took like 30 mins to get 2 sandwiches and it was fall break on campus?

I visited for breakfast and overall, it was quite good. The waffles were really tasty, although they were a bit drenched in syrup—definitely worth asking for less. The eggs were decent. The service was adequate, but it didn't really stand out.
