Blue State Coffee - New Haven

Great coffee for anyone that wants coffee made right. Always made fresh, to order. Great staff.

Blue State has good strong coffee. There's a few locations around town I prefer the plentiful seating in this one. Yummy baked goods and sandwiches also.

I had a nearly perfect oat milk latte from Minor Figures. The espresso was strong and flavorful without being too watery or overly milky. It’s exactly the type of latte I enjoy! Plus, I really appreciate the smaller size of this 10-12 oz cup. It’s just the right amount—unlike many places that only offer a minimum of 16 oz, which is just too much and takes away from the charm of a smaller cup! Haha!

The coffee is excellent, and the breakfast sandwiches are quite tasty, though they can be a bit expensive. I particularly enjoy the Egg Ham and Cheese on a croissant. There are plenty of seats available, but many are often taken by students who stay for long periods. It's a fairly quiet spot, making it easy to have a conversation without any noise issues.

I visited for the first time and ordered a toasted bagel and an iced mocha, both of which were outstanding! I'm definitely looking forward to returning to explore the rest of the menu.
