The restaurant is the essence of the rustiness of the place of Hauz Khas and directly overlooking on to the lake. The eatery is lined with unfinished brick walls, partially plastered surfaces and dog-tired furniture. But the place brings together all these incongruities into a single charming bistro as the Hauz Khas Social. The vast interior has several levels of dining areas within. But the window-side seat is the most prized spot from where one can see the entire park including the lake. The well-spoken waitrons dress up homogeneously in their army-coloured cargo pants and brown t-shirts. The menu is fashioned in the form of a newspaper supplement and stacked in a jar on every table. The restaurant serves hot drinks and beverages too. Food is also exceptionally good. Their main courses and breakfast menu are exceptional. Their egg dishes are exquisite and it comes in various shapes and sizes. But the prices are a bit above budget, especially the beverage menu. The breakfast orders can run on an average budget. In the end, a meal for two persons would cost between Rs 600-1500, and maybe, even more if hot drinks are ordered additionally. The payment is charge for the added ambience offered along with the food. So spend a good few hours at the place while sulking in the beauty of the Hauz Khas area through the window.

The ambiance is awesome. Loved the rooftop. Situated at the bank of lake having beautiful view. Presentation was unique. Highly recommended!!

This place is amazing during winters. It is an open air place with a small room to sit in also. I'm visiting this place since early seventies. This used to be a small place famous for its tea, omelette and tasty toast. Now it is a very successful eatery with professional service and paraphernalia. The food is delicious and hygienic. Prior to Covid there was waiting time for more than half hour. Even now it has a decent foot fall. Overall I loved the place .
