Ihop - New Bern

The service was disappointing. After placing our order, we waited 10 minutes just for coffee and soda while the server casually chatted with another employee, all in full view of customers. I noticed another server asked if we needed assistance, including drinks, but then went back to her duties without helping us. When our initial drinks were empty, that same server finally noticed and refilled them after quite a delay. It took another 10 minutes for our food to arrive, which was a long wait for basic pancakes, hash browns, and eggs. The restaurant was empty, so there was no excuse for the slow service. I was tempted to leave without a tip. The food itself was what you would expect from an IHOP.

February 2022. service was great, eating hot and fast prepared, although they were very busy. these chocolate, chocolate chip pancakes were a hit with both girls. good basic food. original post a year ago: with the balanced blt is not something they find very often away from home. the brot torn the correct amount, crispy speck, thin cut tomato and the correct amount mayonnaise with fresh crispy salate. they're making double blt on the right one!

Food was good, service was okay. Took a while for service but once order was placed it came out quick it was good. UPDATE: Change stars to 5 from 3. Service and food were great! The food has always been good here just service lacked but since been back the last few months it has improved greatly! Nikki, our server today, was wonderful. She was attentive and friendly. Recommend a stop by if having a craving for some breakfast!

The food was decent but not as good as I expected. The service was a little slow but our server Angel was nice and accommodating. The pancakes are usually fluffy this time they were a little over cooked and dry. I've had better meals from this location this one time will not deter me from visiting again or recommend them hands down any day over NASTY waffle house.

It took me a little time to order due to a phone call and choosing food. The waiter was understanding and attentive without being over bearing. My asthma reacted to one employee wearing strong perfume and I began coughing. Another employee was in the server area (where orders are picked up a few times loudly exclaiming "you need to listen!!... . Another employee, maybe same one that was shouting, was walking around the restaurant with their mask pulled down several times. Unfortunately the food was barely warm. I asked for a slice of white cheddar instead of American cheese, sauce on the side, but the burger roll looked like someone scrapped something orangey like sauce off of the burger. The waiter explained he misunderstood the cheese request, it happens. I was brought a side of white queso cheese instead of what I requested. The onion rings tasted odd (maybe freezer burn? . I asked for mayonnaise, but it tasted like a dressing instead of good mayonnaise and I couldn 't use it. I chose not to send the food back before tasting it because I didn 't have anything to eat in the morning. The first half and half I received was room temperature (not the first time this has happened here . At least my coffee was refilled more than once.
