Grand Slam Subs - Neptune City

I visited Pete Elda's for some pizza and wings, and it was fantastic. We ordered the meatball double extra large pizza, along with sweet chili and chipotle BBQ wings. The wings are your typical deep-fried variety, without any frills, but quite large. The pizza is very thin with a lovely crust. They also serve bar cake here, which is amazing if you know what that is. Take a look at the pictures!

I've been coming here for years, and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I have to admit, I primarily come for the pizzas because I can't resist them! They are unique and incredible, and I make it a point to visit every month for my favorite t-shirt pizza. With its very thin crust, it's crispy and absolutely delicious!

However, we ended up waiting and waiting for our food. Our waitress didn't check on us at all, and although she apologized for being busy, we noticed that others who arrived after us were being served. Finally, after 45 minutes, the waitress came over and asked why we hadn't received our food, referring to the fact that we hadn’t even gotten our calamari yet. Nearly an hour passed before we finally received our pizza and calamari. To make things worse, no manager came to apologize for the wait. While the pizzas were indeed good with a nice thin crust, the service—or lack thereof—leaves me giving this place a three-star rating. However, we decided to give it another try later on the shore. This experience was much better, as the place wasn't as crowded, and we were served quite quickly. We ordered two extra-large cheese pizzas, which were delicious. The service was also much more attentive and friendly this time around! We will definitely consider returning for their tasty thin-crust pizza… maybe with a little less waiting next time.

Our first time visit . place was quite good, although super crowded. Service was average for the crowd. We only got a barcake at the bar and it took a long time, but it was worth it. Pizza was very good. Beverages and prices were with other places I was at. Bar area could use more tvs. Overall, I would recommend, but I would say go early to avoid the masses.

I’m always skeptical of thin crust, but man this pizza hit the spot! Great taste and loved the cheese. Two of us split an 18 inch and had an appetizer and were good to go! The fried ravioli was delicious. Staff was super friendly! Will definitely be back.
