This place was class. A diner with endless charm and authenticity, indicative of the whole town. Nederland is where I want to retire. Basically everything is great about it, there's enough for the tourist (me) but not so much that it takes over the town. The realest town I've ever been to, and this Restaurant served me a world class breakfast. What a treat. Ned is better than Boulder. Service: Dine in

Asked for a menu to check for allergens before sitting down. This request caused a waiter named Chris, a dreadlocked man in full tie-dye, to have a bit of a meltdown. After handing us the menu, he proceeded to ignore us in the mostly empty restaurant. After asking to sit and being ignored, we took a seat, only to be ignored for 15 more minutes. Luckily, the views in nederland are great so no harm done. When we got thirsty we approached the bar to watch chris frantically try to keep himself busy so as to avoid taking our order. Randomly offering beer samples, chatting with friends, and wiping up non existent messes between smoke breaks all occupied his time as we received awkward side-eyes from him as he slowly realized we would stick it out indefinitely for a beer. Beer was good. Then we went to cross cut pizza for a much better food and beer experience! Everyone at crosscut was helpful, attentive, and the food and beer were top notch, plus better views and the sound of running water from the creak makes crosscut a no brainer choice over Neds.
