Grandpa John's Nauvoo Cafe

Breakfast Buffet. The same owner of the Hotel Nauvoo owns this establishment and they give patrons of the hotel a 25% discount. But it's not like we needed the motivation of a discount to eat there there are not a lot of choices for breakfast in this small town. The food is very good, however. It is the same basic buffet every day but there is enough variety that you won't get bored with the same thing every day. I had eggs over easy and pancakes one morning, (outstanding pancakes, light and fluffy) and french toast another. Breakfast and lunch only...

We had a very good time at the cabins in Nauvoo. Highly recommended!

The food was good, there was a good variety to choose from and a great kids menu. Pretty much the only place to eat in Nauvoo while we were there in the off season. The food and the service still would be a great choice if the town were full of fast food restaurants!

We showed up today at closing time and didn't realize that until after we had left. We were tired of fast food on the road and the kids grandpa's name was John, so it seemed like a good fit. The food was great! So glad we stopped. Looking back, we feel terrible we didn't pay attention to closing time (today was 2pm) but nobody rushed us, they didn't hurry our order or tell us they'd be closing soon. Very professional and welcoming staff. We'd definitely stop again the next time we head south east!

6.99 for 4 item breakfast and 10.99 for all you can eat. Limited low-carb items. Descent breakfast comfort foods. Nice environment and staff.
