El Paseo Cantina - Nashville

This is a hidden gem in the Nations! I saw mixed reviews before I came and I noticed it wasn 't full/not a lot of people know about this place, but I was really impressed. If you 're looking for authentic Mexican food made from scratch, this is the place!! I genuinely appreciate the from scratch flavor and it is different than other Mexican restaurants you might be used to. The enchilada verde was so flavorful, the chicken tinga inside was amazing and juicy, wow. I loved every part of this dish. It came with rice and beans and avocado on top. On Saturdays, they do $20 full pitchers of house margaritas!! Such a steal! We were only going to do one drink per person, but it was almost the same price to do a full pitcher and we don 't regret that decision! Joseph was our server and he was phenomenal, really good service here.Small lot for parking but there 's more parking spaces across the street.

Fun decor. We had the mahi mahi tacos and a Camarón Burrito along with loaded nachos. The poblano rice was very mild. We will return. Thank you.Vegetarian options: Added bell peppers to my burrito. They have a vegetarian burrito.

Came here for a Yelp event and just had to come back cause the food was so good! The quesadillas were good, the chicken was so creamy and delicious. The mahi mahi tacos were good with the rice and beans. On Saturdays the special is $20 margarita pitchers, but that only includes the plain margarita. Our server told us that all of the margarita flavors were included (we got the blood orange) but she was nice enough when our bill came to inform us for the future that she gave it to us for $20 since it was her mistake. Very nice of her! The only complaint I have is if you are seated by the window, it is VERY drafty. I did not take my jacket off at all during dinner otherwise I would have been freezing. The food was good and I will be coming back again because the menu had a bunch of great options!

Came here for a Yelp event, and had to come back! All our entrees were delicious! I recommend the red enchiladas and the queso! We were seated quickly and made it in time for two for one margaritas during Thursday night happy hour! The margaritas are strong too! We told the waitress we had come back because of how great the chef was at the event, he came out to talk to us and brought us an even spicier hot sauce and some churros later on. Definitely save room for the churros. The service is amazing and the chef is my favorite! He makes this place feel so special.

Came here for trivia, and have been for dinner. I have enjoyed my couple of times here. I would say coming for happy hour is a good experience since you get a strong margarita, and it is worth it! The different flavor margaritas are my favorite items here along with their tacos. Service is good along with the time you wait for food, which is not too long. Parking sucks, but you can park across the street or street parking if you cannot get a spot in their lot. If you have a dog, come here when the weather is permitting to enjoy their expansive dog park.
