Thank God It's Fryday Fish N Chips

The chips here are absolutely five stars. They are crispy on the outside and perfectly soft on the inside. I requested extra salt, and it was just right. The fish had a light, crispy batter, and the oil used was fresh—no sogginess or stale taste. As someone who is quite particular about fish and chips, I can confidently say this place has passed the test!

Fresh fish, whole scallops, and crispy batter make for a delightful meal. They also offer a great selection of chips—you can choose from shoestring fries, standard chips, or wedges, all customizable with a variety of toppings and seasonings.

I’m giving this place 4 stars because my previous three visits for the terakihi and chips were nearly perfect. However, today was a big disappointment. The chips were chewy and tasted oily, clearly in need of replacement, and the piece of terakihi was quite small. I’ve been telling others how great you are, so it’s disheartening to have this experience. I really hoped we had found a consistently good fish and chip shop. Now, I’m just hoping this was a one-time issue.

I always opt to buy the Guernard when ordering fish and chips and I always get them from TGI's Fryday. They cook it beautifully and its always fresh. The premises are very clean too. Highly recommend them.

Good service, selection and quality. I reckon best kumara chips in the bay. The scoops aren't that big and the menu is on the high side for fish and chips. This is why it got four stars, not five.
