I felt sorry for the chef who is trying to do interesting dishes. He would be better off at a different venue. In Napa, if a restaurant isn't good, I don't go back. We have too many other options.
The ambiance is fine, and it's conveniently located within the hotel where we were staying, so I appreciated it for that purpose. However, the food was underwhelming, and the service was scattered. Our friend ordered a steak, which didn't come out when all other meals were served. Come to find out, it was not entered. Then they offered it to him on the house, so he accepted it (otherwise said he would not have ordered it), but still they put it on the bill at the end of the night!
Not what a hotel restaurant should be, in my opinion. Tapas plates that were highly overpriced. Server was kind but didn’t understand simple requests.
Worst eggs benediction ever, over cooked, processed spam like Canadian bacon,. Coordination between restuarant and open table reservation system is completely out of wack. Reserved poolside seating which is not even open. Got stuck at a table right in the traffic flow area for the maid service and check out, very noisy and not relaxing at all. Touted as 4 stars but in my opinion it was below 2 stars. Will never visit again. KIP KENDALL.
Best omelet I've ever had. I would definitely recommend.
