The Gaslight - NANTUCKET

The Gaslight Restaurant on Nantucket is a modern twist on a long-standing establishment. Previously known as The Starlight, it combined a restaurant, bar, and film theater for over 15 years before closing its doors in recent years. The Starlight was a beloved social spot, famous for its BINGO nights and as the island’s only cinema for quite some time. I took my children to the old theater on a Saturday, and it served as a nostalgic reminder of the past. When I first visited Nantucket in 1990, it was proudly called The Gaslight. Now, however, the cinema is no more, which is quite disappointing. The bar has become the focal point of the space, centrally positioned within the restaurant. There is a spacious dining room, a more intimate dining area, and a stage for live music in the larger room. Additionally, outdoor seating is available. I visited on Sunday, May 15, 2022, where my daughter and I shared a peanut butter sandwich.

Every record was delicious! We're stuck in raw and small plates, share almost everything and enjoy everything! Only 1 dessert option (carrot cake), but it was savory and superb!
