フィードバックを提供するWe're heading to Sushi, and let me tell you, it’s a great choice! The service is quick, and the sushi is absolutely delicious. The menu is concise but offers excellent options. I particularly enjoyed the Jeff Roll—it was fantastic!
Keep in mind that it's a small restaurant with a limited number of staff, so if it’s busy—especially with the influx of Hibachi enthusiasts—it might take some time to get a table or receive service. But trust me, it’s well worth the wait! Nijiya offers the most beautiful, fresh, and delicious sushi in the area, all within a warm, family-friendly atmosphere. There are great lunch specials available, even amidst the widespread inflation. They also provide excellent vegetarian options—just ask your server! My personal favorite is the Amazing Roll, which replaces shrimp tempura with sweet potato. Don’t miss out on the Fast Dessert Roll either! One thing I truly appreciate about their sushi is that they don’t overpower the rolls with sauce, allowing you to savor the fresh ingredients in every bite. If you like, you can always request extra sauce on the side. Also, it's BYOB, so feel free to bring your favorite alcoholic beverages. It's worth noting that they haven’t had Hibachi or fried rice in over a year, which was a permanent change. However, there are still plenty of other delicious options to explore!
Our waitress, Cari, was absolutely fantastic! She was friendly, patient, energetic, and just overall wonderful. We arrived around 6:30 PM, and it wasn't too busy—just a few occupied tables. The service we received was excellent; Cari remembered everything we needed and was attentive to our requests. I’d give it 5 stars for an amazing experience!
We visit this place every chance we are in the area! It is always delicious and welcoming!
I ate here on 7/30/22 and Carrie was my waitress. I ordered the shrimp hibachi and it was excellent! My waitress, Carrie, was a sweetheart. After my meal, I left without my purse. I live roughly 8 hours south of Nacogdoches and my keys were in my purse. I had really put myself in a predicament. I messaged Nijiya on Facebook.. on a Sunday.. because I knew that the restaurant would be closed until the following Tuesday. The owner responded promptly, and came in on their day off to give me my purse and refused money for their time. Talk about going the extra mile for their customers. Nijiya is a great family oriented restaurant that can be complimented in every aspect.
