The Mexican Grill Of Muskegon

Taco Thursday was outstanding. 1.50 tacos( and they were not little skimpy either). Dollar beer! What else can you ask for. 1/3 off appetizers, we had wings and nachos. We will be back often!

It has been a few years so we thought we would give this place a try again. Upon entering there is a seat yourself sign. We decided to sit in the back half of the restaurant because the front is all bar height tables and they wouldn't work with a high chair. Not that we could locate a high chair so we stood holding our son next to a table. The only waitress in the place that we could see was sitting and eating. Once she finished her meal she slowly packed her food up, cleaned her table and then finally approached us. I asked her for a chair and then waited another 5 min for her to bring it. Their menu has changed and I had a really hard time even finding anything we wanted to order (had to have the waitress come back four times). They have a small section of the menu now label Mexican Menu. Basically, it is not a Mexican restaurant any more. We ended up getting him the Mac and cheese which he would not eat and I don't blame him. It wasn't good. I was pretty disappointed that they actually did not have milk to serve him. Who doesn't have milk? I ordered a bean and cheese king burrito. I guess if you don't want the meat you also don't get lettuce, tomatoes or anything except a sad little burrito which I took four bites of. I am really glad I didn't eat more because I ended up sick from it. My husband order enchiladas but also didn't eat his food because it smelled and tasted like an ashtray. Literally like cigarettes! On top of all this, the place was just obnoxious. The bartender kept coming into our side of the restaurant and yelling to people on the other side. The bar side had loud, heavy metal music playing. I had to ask for a kids menu, I had to ask for a plate for the appetizer. She didn't ask if we needed a box even though we didn't eat our food. She probably knew better but didn't care.

Excellent food! I love their crunchy corn tacos which they fry, They're soft tacos are as good as normal flours, but their fish tacos are excellent, either corn taco or soft flours. Courtney is an excellent waitress. Kudos to the staff and the business I highly recommend eating here.

Pleasantly surprised. I was given a gift certificate here this past Christmas and we finally got around to using it this past week. If you're looking for a laid back place, where you can dress however you'd like and eat good Mexican food, than this is the place for you! I didn't have high hopes as I went in, but shortly realized, it's not so bad. This place is worth the shot if you ask me.

Very disappointed, NOT MEXICAN FOOD! This is a sports bar and they have a Mexican food section. Very different.
