Very delicious food! the shiwa was delicious as the umm ali. great service.
Came here for a quick lunch. it is a really sweet, local restaurant. the rooms are all separated, so it is a great place for families. the service is quite simple, but this is ok because eating was really amazing! if they are not sure what to get, try the king fish biryani.
An amazing place for authentic Omani food. the shuwa- must taste a traditional dish, where the meat is marinated in seasoning, packed in a banana leaf, placed in a straw bag and slowly cooked over burning charcoal for 24 hours. that makes the meat delicious it comes out of the bone. the dish is served with flavored rice, tomato chutney salad. we enjoyed our meal the fried fish was just ok. the staff are polite, inexpensive the place is clean with private traditional dining rooms.
This is one of the oldest (22 years old as told by staff) restaurant in Muscat serving authentic Omani cuisines. The traditional lamb Shuwa is one of the most selling items. The dining area is setup in traditional way, where you can sit on the carpet and enjoy the food. Staff was very courteous and kept on checking on us for anything extra we might need. The entrance is decorated with antique items. Rooms might make you feel claustrophobic because there are no windows. Washrooms could be better.
