First Watch - Murrysville

We ate here two times and had the pleasure of having Michelle both times as our server. She actually remembered us from the first time we came through and had a pleasant conversation with him. We are very happy about the service, the food is delicious, the terrace is welcoming and clean, not crowded, and overall it is just a really nice brunch experience here. Would recommend the autumn specialties! The Butternut Squash Soup is phenomenal

Delicious. So many incredible options, it was hard to choose. The juices are incredible. Had gluten free and vegetarian options. Will definitely go back.

I love this spot! I haven't been to a bad location yet and the food is consistent across the board. I always get the traditional breakfast. The homefries are made with onions and fried nicely. I absolutely love the the chicken sausage, it has great flavor and it's super juicy. And the gritssssssssss...Woooooo. ???When you add cheese, butter, salt, and pepper, it takes the flavor to the moon. Hands down my favorite brunch spot!

I'm gonna try and give an honest, even handed review. First off, the presentation of the food was excellent. I was really impressed with that, but a bit thrown off by the flavors. The omelet was good, but the sauce had this lemon citrus taste which was a really weird divergence from the creamy sauce and savoryness of the omelet that I was expecting. The shrimp and grits was almost there, but the grits need a little something extra, perhaps cheese and seasoning. The shrimp, while larger than some places, was a bit tough and had a bit of a strange, underlying fishy flavor which I don't think I've ever had in shrimp before. We also had the arugula, cream cheese, onion, and salmon bagle which was delicious, BUT I didn't see any actual salmon in it despite tasting salmon and the high price. I'm willing to try First Watch again, hope to see some changes for a more cohesive flavor pallet.
