When I was collected from the hotel by my Spanish colleague, he said to me have you ever been to El Patio? When I replied in the negative he was lost for words, he said to me, finally I can take you to somewhere you have never been. The Taxi pulled up outside, as with many restaurants the entrance was best described as none descript. As we entered the main area I could see the chef furiously working away at the grill. We sat down and after a couple of Alhambra Reservas, I left my host to order. We commenced with a couple of fish dishes which were followed by some raw beef a hot stone on which to cook it on. In fact, when the stone when the cold they replaced. If I was been honest, I don't remember much as we consumed a reasonable amount of red wine, in the late afternoon that is not good. I enjoy both the food wine.
Second time we have been here, walked in last Friday evening and the restaurant was very quiet but filled up whilst we were there, mainly Spanish diners. We shared the Spanish ham and cheese platter to start and then had the ox steak and chips. It comes with a (very) hot plate which was changed half way through once it had cooled. We cooked our own slices of meat to our own taste and the chips are very good. House wine good and overall reasonable cost. Would be very good if the staff smiled once in a while!
El sitio es grande, ayuda a que puedes tener sitio incluso sin reserva como nos paso . Por dentro el sitio sorprende empezando por su entrada con un suelo de cristal que parece que pisas el aire jejje. La comida tipica? De calamares a la romana, caballitos etc… pero con una calidad superior, no se pasan con la sal en los rebozados como en algunos sitios, ni con la comida a la plancha. Solo voy a subir la foto de la carne y del postre leche frita del dia! Solo en otro sitio habia conseguido algo asi, creo que con eso explico la calidad, normalmente lleva dias y suele ser rancia y que sea del dia fue un puntazo. tambien decir que anuncian que tienen un parque para niños en google pero! No es asi lo cerraron hace años o eso me dijo el camarero jejje
Muy caro todo. 75€ por un chuleton de vaca vieja... carísimo. El servicio tardaba en servirnos. Pediamos la bebida y traian la mitad y el resto de la bandeja para otras mesas. Comida bien, pero la carne nada del otro mundo, algunos trozos duros. Y mucha gente, mucho ruido
