El Barco - Municipio de Viedma

Visited viedma on a sport trip and a group of us went along the river bank over both bridges. at the end of the walk came over el barco and decided to have there at lunch, as it was a big day and outside deck looking at the river swimming area...where the beach is patted by live swimmers. there were seven of us and we were good of the waiter who made some excellent suggestions, which all proved excellent. the meals came fast and were of great size, the burger was huge. the waiter kept the drinks coming and was attentive. was in Argentine for two weeks and stayed in three cities and this place would have been in the top three for a meal.

Hungry and not very far to go while we visit viedma, we landed in this facility, which really cannot be categorized as a restaurant. it is a combination of a fast eating place with very, very loud music and one way everything. there is no salt...or pfeffers, no oily donors, no cloth napkins... better yet. no serviettes at all until they ask for them and they come in a plastic dispenser. mayo, oil, senf, lemon juice come all in plastic case. with very little wall they could really improve the place. the place is packed and tables will hinder the fire exit. children run everywhere, while parents seem anaesthetic. management is not existent or does not really care. the waitress, although very beautiful, lacked knowledge and education. that is, we had some of the best calamari fritti ever together with two heke dishes... one with a creamy green twill sauce and the other, fried. the salat pages were very simple. the arugula was not mixed with the rest of the sweet, but both dishes were plentiful and quite delicious. with little personal training and exact details to consider, this place could be a winner. that is beautiful. I guess they're known for everything you can eat pizza and if you're 16 and hungry, that can be the place for you. again I could not hear the waitress because the very, very, very loud music.

There are no salt...or pepper shakers, no oil/vinegar dispensers, no cloth napkins...better yet...no napkins at all until you ask for them and they come in a plastic dispenser. Mayo, oil, mustard, lemon juice all come in disposable plastic envelopes. With very little effort, they could really improve the place. The place gets packed and tables are placed obstructing the fire exit. Kids run all over the place while parents seem anesthetized. Management is non existent or does not really care. The waitress, although extremely nice, lacked knowledge and training. That being said, we had some of the best calamari fritti ever along with two hake dishes...one with a creamy green onion sauce and the other one, fried. The salad sides were extremely simple. The arugula was not mixed with the rest of the vegetables, but both dishes were abundant and quite tasty. With little staff training and paying close attention to details, this place could be a winner. The view is nice. I guess they are known for all you can eat pizza and if you are and hungry, this may be the place for you. Once again, I could not hear the waitress speak due to the very, very, very loud music.

Comimos muy bien y la atención del personal fue excelente. Mi nene se cayó en la vereda y enseguida se acercaron las chicas a ayudarme, me trajeron hielo y estuvieron muy atentas. El chef muy cordial, se acercó a preguntarnos cómo habían estado los platos. Nos sentimos muy a gusto
