My girlfriend and I have only been there twice so far, but it was nothing short of marvelous both times. The first time we tried their coffee and loved it, and then just this morning we got bagel sandwiches which were delicious. Their menu is innovative, their pastries have a rotating stock, the associates are nice (if not a little aloof at times), and I absolutely love the atmosphere. Vegetarian options: They have several vegetarian (and a few vegan) options for sandwiches, paninis, and breakfasts. They also have milk alternatives like oat milk. As long as you're not picky, the food is still delicious without meat on it ?
Terrific spot to catch breakfast and a cuppa coffee. Love the patio, and it's dog-friendly.
I don’t drink coffee but the chai latte here is excellent. I also love the dining room’s atmosphere and all the fun art there. But do NOT go here for the food. Their food is extremely unimpressive. I also found their sandwich menu to be visually difficult to read and overwhelming; I almost immediately gave up on reading it, ordered something that seemed vegetarian by the name, and ended up *hating* it because it had mostly peppers on it. I get that they wanted to be cute and make their menu look like the food item it’s describing, but it makes some of the words extremely small and hard to read. Also the person taking our order seemed like they did *not* want to be there, but also that’s understandable because it was 7pm and it looked like they were the only person working—in charge of orders, drinks, and food. Seems, again, quite overwhelming!I may return here for an occasional drink, but I’m not getting their food again.
I usually love going to The Cup for the food and atmosphere but I went this morning with a friend to study and since I am on a restrictive diet I brought my own yogurt. I wasn’t even sitting down for 30 seconds before the owner/ manager or whoever he was rushed out to tell me that outside food isn’t allowed anywhere on the property and said “It’s like if I invite you to a dinner party and you bring your own food. That’s rude.” Well I found HIS comment to me to be extremely rude and it made me feel very unwelcome and disappointed since every other time I go there I do purchase a food or drink item, just this one time I want to eat a small cup of yogurt outside I am made to feel unwelcome and like I need to leave.
