Located in the upstairs section of the old Craigmoor winery (now Oatley Wines) with old tables of various sizes sits this gem. The team have obviously smartened the place up,( it was getting that run down look in its previous life). We went for Saturday lunch which is a simpler affair than the Sunday Roast. For $24 there is a superb spread to select from. Lots of pickled and fermented products, local High Valley fetta, couple of other non local cheeses and preserved meats but possibly everything else is house made and delicious. I think the hot dishes would vary daily but there was a nice Thai Green curry and great chicken, leek and potato roll. The housemade sourdough was a light rye with a crunchy crust, so nice had to have a couple of pieces. To complete the meal there was cheese as mentioned and a plate of beautifully ripe rock melon and honeydew melon. You can have a glass of wine (or a bottle if you like and are not driving), a beer of coffee or tea with your lunch if you like (extra cost). Also if you can fit in there is a good range of gelato and ice cream for $4 a scoop.Service is good and friendly but not overbearing. Seats are also available outside.Cant wait to get back here for another lunch.
Had an amazing lunch! Our waiter Nelson was a superstar! He catered towards our every need and looked after the kids by getting them some delicious ice cream! Food was fantastic and we loved the variety! All it was fresh and presented beautiful. The roast pork was next level tasty!
Awesome lunch at Craigmoor pavilion. Greeted by Sam, great and friendly service. Lunch was yum, fresh and full of flavour.. We will be back and we would highly recommend to visit..
Diners start with homemade bread, butter, and a dip, followed by an antipasto spread where guests can help themselves to as much or as little as they like. The main course is a roast of the day with all the trimmings, presented in a modern way. Options include sweet potatoes, zucchini mix, composed salad, cauliflower cheese inside a field mushroom, stuffing with currants, pilau rice, and more. There are also sweet and spicy sauces like Devil's and plenty of gravy available. For dessert, guests can choose from a selection of 4 cakes and 4 gelato flavors. The restaurant also boasts a good wine list. Overall, this establishment comes highly recommended for those looking for a good value meal with top-quality food that can be enjoyed at a leisurely pace. It will be interesting to see how this new menu develops in the future.
We just had lunch at Craigmoor and it was a fantastic surprise with a great concept. I probably won't need to eat for a week! Thank you Kim and your amazing team.
