Mountainaire is on the way to higher elevation towns and is only an hour from Albuquerque. Alpine Alley is a local gathering place with a comfy couch and tables, a fully equipped coffee house, a breakfast and lunch restaurant, and a take out cafe with homemade bakery items that will satisfy your innermost cravings. They sell out quickly though when I arrived around 10am, there was only one blueberry muffin left. I had it heated with butter and it was heavenly. The espresso was perfect as well. The owner is friendly and funny and seemed to know every patron that came through the door. Of course. I was driving a back route to Las Vegas, New Mexico, that took me through this mountain town and several others. My journey was saved by my 20 minute stop here. I hope yours is, too.
Awesome little small-town restaurant! Great food, great people : Love the metal art out front too!
Went on a Sunday morning, very very busy. Long wait , food was good. Cheap breakfast.
This place is just awesome. The owner/cook/waitress is delightful and the food was delicious. Cranky old guys, local moms w/ the kids and travelers of NM 55 were all cheerfully welcomed. Do not pass on the NJ crumb cake. This place is everything right about small business in small town America.
Walked in , we weren’t even acknowledged, 6 people there already had been served , finally girl come out tells us it’s 45 min wait she was the waitress cashier n cook!!!!! There was only 4 of us . Long trip for us to see how much Our Hometown has changed. So unfriendly !!!
