Service: I inquired with the server about whether the duck liver originated from Eastern Europe or France; she didn't know. However, she was consistently attentive with refilling the water. 3. Unusuall charges: I was surprised to see a mandatory 22% tip added to our bill. I've never encountered such a high mandatory tip, even at Michelin-starred restaurants, and this establishment is not on par with them. The staff was efficient, but they weren't particularly friendly and seemed to lack in-depth knowledge about their menu. Unfortunately, due primarily to reason 3, we won't be returning.
What a disappointment! I was looking forward to getting some French food, but we were only able to taste the coldness and rudeness from our waiter. First of all he was unfriendly from the minute we stepped in the restaurant. When I asked if they had a kids menu, he replied: Of course not! . What does it mean??? A bistro is supposed to be a casual restaurant not a Michelin star restaurant. Are they too high-end to serve families with kids? Then we tried to find a dish for everyone, but when we ordered, only one item out of around 5 entrees was available. On a Saturday night at 7 pm you would expect they have all the ingredients needed to fulfill their small menu. So we decided to leave and take our business elsewhere where we would feel more welcomed. Well, I will have to make my family some mussels and Coq au vin very soon as we were not able to get our French Cuisine fix. I certainly do not recommend this restaurant! They need to get friendlier staff and be more prepared for a weekend night. Kid-friendliness: NOT kid-friendly at all!
Was really hoping for better experience from a restaurant with so many positive reviews, but our anniversary dinner was unfortunately underwhelming. The primary waitress is a native French speaker and was friendly and attentive. The entrees were prepared and presented to us at the same time. But the seasoning and flavor on the Coq Au Vin was bland, and the Pork Medallions were too salty. What was actually nice were the accompanying vegetables and mushrooms in each sauce. Premium prices for a meal that was comme ci comme ça. The parking lot is shared with Danish Concepts and patrons have to park in the back only. For some reason all the spaces next to the restaurant are reserved and explicitly signed NOT FOR RESTAURANT.
Everything about the experience was just okay. Service was slow and they spilled water/wine on our table a couple times while pouring. The food didn't have much flavor to it and several things weren't cooked properly (for example, the carrots were undercooked). The duck dish had the most flavor but many of the other dishes were bland. Service: Dine in
