I visited a few times while on holiday. The staff was friendly and had a great sense of humor. Although I didn't eat anything, the drinks were excellent.
--- My personal experience at this restaurant was quite disappointing, and I want to share it honestly. On a thirsty night, looking forward to a nice dinner after work—and perhaps a game of pool—we decided to check out this place, especially after seeing their enticing menu online. However, right from the start, things took a turn. When we arrived, we found that Lyft dropped us off a bit further away due to security being heightened. Upon entry, we learned about an $8 cover charge for a live band. We all reluctantly paid it, thinking it would be worth it since the food looked so promising on their website. As we went inside, we were greeted by an overwhelmingly loud punk rock band. I couldn’t even hear my friends talking just a foot away from me. The bar area was tiny, and it was impossible to escape the noise, especially since it was raining outside, preventing us from playing cornhole. We had no choice but to endure the blaring music, which was less entertaining and more of an assault on our ears. Surprisingly, after waiting just 15 minutes, the band played only four songs, which felt rather underwhelming for the $8 cover charge we paid—totaling $40 for our group of five. Moving on to the food, we checked the menu, which turned out to be surprisingly limited, especially given the mouthwatering meals I had seen online. When I asked the staff about the delicious comfort food displayed on their website, I was met with confusion. The specific dishes I had seen pictures of weren’t even offered. I ended up just ordering some fries and cheese dip—definitely not what I was expecting. Nowhere did it mention that those enticing meals weren’t available; instead, we were left with mostly uninspiring options. To top it off, there was a football game that night, and we ended up leaving after about an hour, hitching a ride back to our hotel. I’m sharing this experience candidly, so take from it what you will. --- I hope this version captures the essence of your experience while improving clarity and flow!
Inside is really nice, great feeling and great games including billiards, darts and shuffle. Of course a lot of football on TVs. Fish and chips were good, but not amazing. Bangers and match were stellar.
Can't beat the Thursday special. We saw the sign and stopped: fish and chips with a pint of Bud Light for $12. The cod was excellent, the fries crispy and tasty, the slaw was fresh and the beer was cold!
