I always order the combo with half salad and half sandwich, and during my last five visits, I've asked for extra sauce on my chipotle chicken sandwich. Each time they say "okay" but then forget it. This last visit, I even remembered the girl who made my sandwich, and guess what? They forgot the sauce again! Now I'm stuck eating a dry sandwich once more.
I visited Saladworks today and had a disappointing experience. I ordered a salad, and just before adding my dressing, the girl scratched her hair. Gross! While the woman at the register was friendly and offered to get me a new dressing, I noticed the girl never changed her gloves and didn’t wash her hands at all. Then, I saw a guy preparing sandwich wraps without wearing gloves. I really don't want to find hair or fingers in my food. Are we not concerned about hygiene anymore, especially with COVID-19 still around? What’s going on at Saladworks?
I tried to reach out to the corporate office via a comment link on its webpage, but it 's been a week and I have not heard anything....so here it goes. We have been frequenting the Mount Laurel location for a while now, every Friday night. Before the winter hours kicked in, we would eat there, but now that they are closing at 8:30pm, we just get takeout. We get there NO LATER THAN 8:10, but usually just a few minutes past 8pm. My favorite thing to order is the Southwest Grain Bowl. We had walked in last Friday by 8:05pm. There was a line. They were busy. When it was our turn to order, I ordered the grain bowl and was told that they had already put the grains away. This is the second time this has happened. The first time the girl (who I am assuming was the supervisor said she could get it for me but it would be cold. I went with it, but couldn 't understand why it was already put away. This time, the girl waiting on me said she had to check to see what she could do. WHY, if you are still open for business, ARE YOU GETTING READY TO CLOSE????? Ridiculous. My attitude that night already was not positive because the week before the girl (who i think is the supervisor lied to me because she accidentally put carrots in my grain bowl instead of squash. When I questioned it she blatantly lied and said, it comes with carrots, I don 't know why they don 't have it listed. I am not one to make a scene, so I let it go, but ended up picking all of the carrots out because I didn 't like them. This Friday, I had had enough. I walked up to where the one girl was asking about what to do and I said something like, Forget it. We 're leaving. This is ridiculous that you put food away when you are still open. We will not be coming back. I also want to note that from our experience at this location, not one of the workers seems happy. They all look like the couldn 't be bothered. Not a great way to do business. Don 't get me wrong... I love Saladworks (the ones in Marlton are great! ... just not this location, nor am I happy with corporate, since they never followed up with my query.
Sad....this was NO WHERE NEAR a $29 salad!! I got a TON of extra and it was in a diner take out container. I probably could have gotten a bigger AND fresher salad at a diner. The lettuce mix itself was not fresh as it was getting that faint smell of being older. I mean it's still very edible, just not fresh. One tiny scoop of corn, one sliced egg, small amount of bacon. The blue cheese dressing was just that....nothing special at all. I was SO excited to order from here had a few extra bucks to get the salad. Never again.... I'll just hit that diner up get a HUGE fresh salad.
