Badageoni Georgian Kitchen

Very good Georgian menu with excellent Georgian wine list. Ambiance is modern but comfortable, vibe is local and casual. Pricing is very good.

Whatever we ate was delicious but the menu was limited for us. Wait staff was terrific.

Our first experience with Georgian cuisine and we were pleasantly surprised by an interesting mix of Eastern Europe and Mediterranean influence. We decided to order a sample across the menu and share so we could all experience different dishes and it worked out great. We started with Megruli (a wonderful cheesy flat round bread), Tolma (think dolmades but with a more mild flavor), and Potato Khinkali (table favorite somewhere between gnocchi and pierogi in a amazing creamy onion sauce). For the main we shared a Tabaka Platter (grilled Cornish hen), chicken and lamb Lula Kebabs, Salmon Mtsvadi, and mushroom Ojakhuri (highly recommended). For desert we had both the Napoleon (massive and delicious) and the Badageoni (very interesting firm custard with an amazing wine sauce could have benefited from a little more crushed pistachio). Overall a wonderful meal with lots of GF, VG options on the menu. NOTE: My personal rating scale : 1 Stay away! 2 Adequate to Good, but I could do just as well cooking at home; 3 Good to Very good, worth a visit but standard menu items, 4 Very good to Excellent, highly recommended; 5 Extraordinary culinary experience.
