Capones - Mount Alexander

There are only two authentic pizza restaurants in C'Maine and Capone's is definitely the superior option. However, it's not particularly exceptional or outstanding.

We had a main course each and a bottle of white wine. The only criticism was the cheaper white wine we ordered wasn't available so we had to spend an extra ten dollars on FAQ wine.

We always dine at Capones when we stay in Castlemaine. Really enjoyed our pizza and pasta meal. The garlic bread was huge! Good value for money. Love the ambience.

Friendly, but amateurish service. Pizza, pasta, etc I felt the whole place needed a good cleaning. We each had a pizza; just ok.

We bought take away pizza, but could have had it home delivered. It is not just a pizza shop, there is a wide variety of other Italian dishes, from risotto to pasta, as well. It was tasty and generous in its toppings, but we have had better prices elsewhere. The decor is looking a little tired and the proprietors have a for sale sign up.
