Speedy Chef - Mount Airy

I have been dining at this restaurant since I was young, around 40 years ago. The chef's burger never fails to impress. I used to enjoy the waffles here, but the ones I had recently were not as good as I remembered. They must have just used what ingredients they had available. Nevertheless, I always enjoy eating here when I am in the area.

This restaurant was amazing, I hadn't been there since I was a child around 11 or 12 years old. It was just before we went to Kernersville, NC. The food was so delicious and tasted just as I remembered from my childhood. The restaurant still looks the same, which is the best part because it brings back great memories of being there with my parents and grandparents. The next time we are in the area, I plan to take my son there to eat and enjoy the best ice cream. I want him to experience the same memories I had. Hopefully, we can also bring his father and sister so they can have the same wonderful memories I did. I miss this place and wish I could have their food every day.

I placed an order on 4/2 and it took 15 minutes to arrive. There were 15 or more people ahead of me in line. When my order was ready, I tried to pick it up but the cashier told me to go to the back of the line. This didn't make any sense as I had been waiting for over 40 minutes. I decided to leave my order and told the cashier that if I placed a new one, I would still be at the back of the line. It was clear that they needed better training for their staff in customer service.

I use to go there 40 years ago and it was a real treat. I moved away and was surprised that they were still around and as AWESOME as ever when I visited. You can't change perfection ?

Always good food, owners do a lot of the cooking, call u by name if u a regular ask how are u doing!!
