The location is fantastic, situated near the Spit Bridge, and the restaurant offers authentic Italian cuisine along with excellent service. Unfortunately, our experience was marred by the unwelcoming demeanor of one of the employees. While the hostess and the young waitress were friendly and very professional, the older male waiter had an arrogant and bullying attitude that overshadowed our entire culinary experience, especially considering it was for a special occasion. He reacted defensively to a simple question about the type of spaghetti on the menu, and his condescending interruptions only added to our discomfort.
The exterior may appear a bit worn, but the warm ambiance inside feels like stepping into an Italian home. The exceptional Italian waitstaff enhance the experience, making you want to return time and again. The pizzas are incredibly thin and crispy, adding to the authentic vibe.
What can I say? The food was awful, the service was terrible, and the restaurant itself was not enjoyable. I would recommend staying away. The waitress seemed clueless; I had to repeat myself at least four times just to get an answer to a simple question. After I got home, I ended up spending two hours in the bathroom. I visited this place back in 2013, and it was great then. Maybe there are new owners or a new chef now? Either way, this place is not good.
This used to be our favourite Pizza restaurant on the Northern Beaches and a hidden Gem for a long time. It’s recently changed ownership and the food has completely changed. The bases are hard, toppings and quality cheap and gluten free option inedible. The service was aligned with this experience. Sorry but you have lost a loyal customer. Sad goodbyes
Queried a no show of delivery after 1 or 1/2 hrs and told me I was rude and it was aggregators fault.
