My parents enjoy the fish fry at this restaurant, and it has always been a treat for our family when we visit. However, after our last visit in mid-July, I will not be returning. We came for a weekend visit when my mom broke her back and wanted to treat her to dinner. It was a Friday night, so she suggested fish fry. We compared menus of nearby places, and found that the 3-piece haddock on the Friday specials menu was the best deal, so we ordered 4 dinners. We were shocked when we were charged over $80 for the meals, when we had estimated $45-50 based on previous visits. Despite showing the bartender the prices from their website, she insisted they were incorrect. She did end up discounting the price, but the experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We tried to contact the manager multiple times but have yet to receive a response. If a business cannot be trusted to honor their advertised prices, I am unlikely to return.
We brought my mother-in-law here for her 81st birthday. Not knowing what to expect, as we had never heard of this place before, we were pleasantly surprised by how great the bar was.
Just had dinner there this evening and after an hour and 40 minutes we were finally served our main course. A very long slog for sure. Tables all around us who ordered behind us were served before us and had left already. I know the owner and it's not like what we are used to. My main concern was no concern of the obvious long wait time from the server. No apologies just; it is what it is. Hopefully it's just a bad evening and things will be better next time. Hope so.
We were here years ago and decided to try the new look Two 's Company. Cozy dining area behind the bar room although it was a bit chilly on this very cold night. Our party had the pasta dish, a chicken sandwich, ribs and tuna. Everyone was pleased with the food. The tuna was my choice and it was done perfectly, seared with the tastiest crust I 've ever enjoyed. The au jus was not necessary. Served with delicious Brussels sprouts which I selected over potatoes. Decent wine list but beer is limited to bottles and the waitress wasn 't sure what they had. A list would be helpful. Also, we weren 't too fond of the country music radio station being piped in. Didn 't seem necessary. But we 'll certainly return.
