The High Bridge House

I can't see how you can go under a 5 and I've been there quite a few times.

Our group of friends wanted to try a new place. We received a recommendation for High Bridge House and Pappy’s along with a few others. We decided on the High Bridge House. The ride was about 10 minutes longer than the place we usually go to. The road was winding and we seen many deer. We had a reservation for 6PM. When we arrived, we were notified our booth was not ready yet so they offered us a table in a room next to the bar. Two of our group ordered the Haddock from the special menu with a baked potato and the spinach. The Haddock was broiled but was served with no sauce on top. The spinach was delicious. Two of us opted for pasta dishes, shrimp scampi and chicken piccata. Both were plentiful and delicious. The last dish was Coconut Shrimp which also was plentiful and delicious. They serve either a salad or soup plus fresh warm bread served with a delicious garlic butter with the entrees. We will definitely add this restaurant to our list for a future visit.

Waiter was wonderful and the atmosphere is great. Food is very mid.

Caesar salad with salmon was perfect. Typical crispy fresh Romaine tossed with creamy Caesar dressing and croutons. Salmon was perfectly prepared.

We eat here a few times a year. We had reservations for 4 at 7pm on the patio this past Saturday. We were sat right away however, the host just dropped the menus on the table and walked away. The seats had crumbs all over them. The floor needed to be swept under the table our waitress seemed annoyed when we asked if we could have it cleaned. She remained harried and unfriendly for the better part of dinner. Our initial drink and appetizer order seemed to bother her. We had to ask for the drink menu. We never received bread for the table. One of our dinners came out 7 mins. Past the remainder of our party. The food here is always consistently good but felt this experience was less than expected and for the type of restaurant and what we’re used to was subpar. Not sure if our waitress was too busy or having a bad day but the customer service was not what we typically experience here.
