I noticed that half of the team members were scrambling to manage orders while the other half simply stood by the stove, not participating.
I have been visiting this restaurant since its opening in 2018, and I've always loved the pizzas and fresh ingredients. However, I've noticed a decline in quality recently. I ordered two build-your-own pizzas with chicken and various vegetarian toppings. While the selection of toppings is still impressive, I did see a house fly in the mozzarella box, which the server promptly replaced. Additionally, the pizza crust was burnt. The staff at the checkout also seemed unsure about how to process gift cards. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but they really need to focus on improving quality.
I understand the challenges of running a business in today's world, but it's unacceptable not to have key vegetable items like spinach on the menu. At some point, a restaurant needs to take responsibility and ensure that they manage their inventory effectively to avoid running out of supplies. Unfortunately, Blaze Pizza seems to be struggling. The atmosphere had an unpleasant, acidic smell, and like many places these days, they were severely understaffed, with only one employee working during the lunch rush. I honestly don't see how this establishment is still operating.
We ordered the other night an order, and while the quality of the food was always so expected, the amount of time and delay from the staff was somewhat ridiculous. Something didn't work with the kitchen this night. I placed the order and showed 5-7 minutes after my pick-up time, but when I arrived there was a large line of customers and no orders ready to execute. Then I wait an extra *45 MINUTES* to get our order that came in 10-20 minutes breaks, so until we came home, our pizzas were cold, except for the last batch. In the meantime, while waiting, we hardly saw the line of customers moving. I don't know what the problem was. The guys working the oven and finishing pizzas spent a lot of time to mill, but it can be because the people taking the pizzas and doing behind... something was not right and totally inefficient. To give you one if your pizzas, then another 20 minutes later, and then tell you another gas wasn't even made, but went into the oven seems like there was a serious organizational problem. I do not blame a particular worker, as it seems that they work as a machine and when a cog breaks, the entire system falls apart. Based on this experience, it made us feel that they are not equipped to cope with high traffic times such as evenings and weekends, so we will avoid that of them these days. There are easily 7 other pizzas in the area that can be for the task of dinner. You can see the big, mostly stagnating line goes to the door, but seats mostly available because nobody gets their food in a reasonable way. I gave video of the position 25 minutes later with the line only move 6 if so feet... it was so slow moving.
This review is based on service at this location. I love Blaze pizza it?s really good! However the service at this location is absolutely horrible. I?ve worked customer service for many years so I know what the industry is like but at Blaze Pizza I?ve had so many issues. I?ve visited a total of five times and even when this place is practically empty it?s a hassle to get things like extra Parmesan, scanning my rewards, a to go box etc simple asks seems overwhelming to the employees. Most recently I arrived at the location on a Friday night at 8:10 pm expecting Blaze Pizza to be open since they close at 9 pm. I went to open the door and it was locked. Many establishments do not allow you to lock doors to outside customers especially if you?re still open within the allotted hours. There was a sign saying they now close at 8:30 pm yet the doors were locked. I then called the restaurant to ask why the door was locked and the employee said, ?Yeah we lock the doors now.? How can any business continue to operate this way? Hopefully they can change the way they treat customers until then I will not be back at this location.
