Charlmont - Morristown

During our week in Stowe, we decided to take a 10-mile trip to try out a restaurant known for its affordable and tasty offerings. We likely spent half of what we had spent in Stowe for a very decent meal, complete with generous portions and a beautifully stocked salad bar.

My family visited this restaurant for the first time tonight and were informed that it was closing at 8 PM. While it seemed like the staff was unaware of this, it would have been more pleasant if the message had been delivered in a kinder manner. They traveled all the way from Pennsylvania to support this small business in Vermont, where they were born and raised, and felt quite disappointed by the experience. Unfortunately, it seems they won’t be returning. It’s a shame because there are some nice employees working there.

Terrible eating! tasteless eating bad service. would never come back, they wouldn't waste their money here.

Cried day before to reserve for the party of 8 when we were there we were sitting and because there were so many of us, we could only order from the special board or the buffet. we were not even menus my sister said that the waitress did not think that was fair, as we were not told about it they came back with menus and only ordered a few tassen chowder and a few appetizers the salatbar was pretty good. but the buffet was something different. the main rib was very hard to chew. ham and truthahn was good broccoli was so over boiled mush. the desserts were ok. disposed of in the sky lemon cheesecake. the waitress only checked back twice that was certainly not worth the money. I wish we had all left when we said we would get the menu. that is a group that would not be back

Whole family all enjoyed very good food (Italian dish, burger, sandwich, and children’s menu items) and great service. Restaurant was right next door to our hotel so very convenient. Thank you!
