Matte Black - Moreland

Returned to this cafe for lunch and well worth the visit. The food is excellent and very tasty, Feta and Avocado with poached eggs. The service is improving and the management seem to have made a great start. The menu is very good with plenty to select from. This cafe is excellent value for money.

Today I was fortunate enough to have lunch at Matte Black Cafe. I had the chicken skewers, which were delicious! The chicken was cooked to perfection and you could tell that good quality chicken had been used as there was no fatty pieces. I would definitely have this meal again. I also had a chai latte, which was perfect! Best chai latte ever!On another note, the customer service at this venue was amazing. I was supposed to eat lunch with a group of friends and my daughter, who is in a pram, at another restaurant in the area. The staff at that place were rude and would not accommodate our group and the pram. I was in tears by the time I arrived at Matte Black but thankfully the staff advised me that they would comfortably seat us all and that the pram was no issue. They re-arranged all the tables and chairs to provide a larger table and a place to comfortably store the pram.Thank you so much for the delicious food and wonderful customer service. We will definitely be back!

Interesting cafe with good food and excellent coffee, service is friendly and quick. The menu is limited but good with plenty to chose from, daily specials on offer. With a little bit more training for some of the staff in regard to taking of orders, don't rely on memory for orders. Remove dishes from the tables in a timely manner and more professional approach from the waiting staff. The food was excellent, generous servings and served very quickly.

After spending 9 days overseas and having nothing at home to eat for breakfast I decided to give this newbie a go. The service is fantastic and the staff are lovely. The pancakes were cooked exactly how I like them and came with a fruit compote that was tasty. Look forward to returning.

This little café's only been open for 5 weeks, but it's certainly setting a high standard. Friendly staff, fresh food that's cooked to perfection, great coffee. Keep up the good work, folks. Don't become complacent like a lot of your local rivals & you'll do well. I'll certainly be back!
